Job Description

About the Company A well-established civil engineering consultancy with deep roots in the Pacific Northwest is growing its water resources practice. The firm takes a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to project delivery and has built a strong reputation across both public and private sector work throughout Oregon and Washington. The Role You'll be working across a diverse portfolio of stormwater, drainage, and floodplain projects from early planning through construction administration. This is a hands-on engineering role with real ownership across project phases. Responsibilities Lead and support hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, including 2D modeling Design stormwater management facilities and drainage infrastructure Prepare plans, cost estimates, schedules, and technical reports Navigate floodplain permitting, FEMA processes, and agency coordination Support erosion control design and low impact development solutions Manage permitting timelines and contribute to construction administration through site visits and inspections Required Qualifications Oregon PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months) Bachelor's degree in Civil, Water Resources, or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent) 4+ years of experience in water resources, stormwater, or hydraulic engineering Proficiency with H&H modeling software (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, XPSTORM, InfoDrainage, or similar) Strong technical writing and organizational skills Comfortable working both independently and within a collaborative team environment Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with design standards and permitting in the Portland metro and/or SW Washington area Experience with 2D hydraulic modeling (HEC-RAS 2D, TUFLOW, or similar) Washington PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months) FEMA floodplain mapping experience, including LOMR or CLOMR submittals Proficiency in ArcGIS, Civil 3D, and Bluebeam Experience with LID and Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) on public or private projects Knowledge of Oregon
DSL, USACE
Section 404/401, and FEMA permitting CFM certification or willingness to obtain within one year Compensation $105,000 to $135,000 depending on experience Exceptionally qualified candidates may be considered for a Senior Water Resources Engineer title, with compensation reaching $145,000+ Full benefits package Interested?
