Job Description

Our client is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join their team in either Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania or the Philadelphia region. This opportunity sits within a well-established, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy that delivers integrated transportation, water resources, and civil infrastructure projects for public and private sector clients across the Mid-Atlantic. Support the planning, design, and delivery of water resources and civil infrastructure projects from concept through construction Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for stormwater systems, watersheds, and floodplain studies Contribute to the design of drainage infrastructure including roadway drainage, culverts, and bridge hydraulics Assist with stormwater management design, site civil layouts, and grading plans in line with regulatory requirements Prepare technical reports, design calculations, engineering plans, and construction documentation Support permitting efforts and coordinate with local and state regulatory agencies Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including transportation, structural, environmental, and survey professionals to deliver integrated project solutions Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery across a range of infrastructure and municipal projects Assist with construction phase services including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and providing design support during implementation The ideal candidate will have a background in civil or environmental engineering with experience in hydrology, hydraulics, or water resources. Candidates should be comfortable using modelling and design tools, managing multiple priorities, and contributing within a collaborative consulting environment focused on delivering technically sound and practical engineering solutions.
