Mid-Level Water Quality Engineer

We are seeking a mid-level Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineer to support our industrial stormwater and wastewater practice, including permit compliance support and treatment design. This role offers a hybrid work schedule in our Tacoma, Washington office.

Key Responsibilities:

Support projects involving compliance with Washington (ISGP) and Oregon (1200-Z) industrial stormwater general permits, including SWPPP preparation, stormwater monitoring, BMP selection, and overall client support for permit compliance trackingAssist with the design and implementation of stormwater conveyance and treatment systems and industrial wastewater pretreatment systems, including hydraulic analysis of pumping/piping systemsSupport industrial wastewater permitting and compliance activities, including State Waste Discharge Permit and Individual NPDES permit applications and renewalsDevelop sampling and analysis plans and conduct pollutant source identificationCollaborate with project teams, and support project managers with high quality technical deliverables Manage projects and provide responsive client communicationsThis position is available for the candidate who has:

Bachelors or Masters degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering or related field5+ years of relevant engineering experience in industrial stormwater and/or wastewaterWorking knowledge of industrial stormwater permitting and treatment system designExperience preparing engineering reports, calculations, and permit documentationStrong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaborativelyProfessional Engineer (PE) license in WA or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframeCurrent, valid driver's licenseThe ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a collaborative project-team environment, interchangeably supporting co-workers and engaging co-workers support to meet the specific needs of a wide range of projects. Landau Associates offers an excellent compensation and benefits package in an environment that promotes personal growth and professional advancement. The salary range for this position is $105,500 $140,000. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, including education, experience, performance, location, and internal equity.
