Job Description

Role Overview We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with 7+ years of experience to lead and support electrical design efforts for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role combines hands‑on engineering, technical leadership, and client interaction across project phases-from planning and detailed design through construction support and startup. Candidates with stronger experience may take on expanded technical leadership responsibilities. Hybrid or flexible work arrangements may be available after an initial onboarding period, subject to project needs and performance. Key Responsibilities Lead and support electrical design for water and wastewater facilities, including power distribution, motor control, and facility electrical systems. Provide technical guidance to engineering and design staff supporting detailed design development. Serve as a subject‑matter resource for electrical power systems during client meetings and design reviews. Perform or review electrical studies such as arc‑flash, coordination, reliability, and energy optimization analyses. Support construction activities through site visits, field inspections, and issue resolution. Coordinate with local electric utilities on service requirements and project integration. Review vendor submittals, equipment data, and technical documentation for electrical systems. Collaborate closely with instrumentation and controls teams to ensure integrated electrical and control system delivery. Participate in equipment testing, startup, and commissioning activities. Support client relationships and assist with proposal development or business development efforts as needed. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. 7+ years of experience in electrical design, planning, or construction support. Experience with medium‑ and low‑voltage power systems, including VFDs, motor control, and standby power systems. Active California Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification. Ability to work directly with clients and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Willingness to meet standard pre‑employment screening requirements. Preferred Consulting experience supporting water or wastewater infrastructure projects. Experience in a client‑facing or technical advisory role. Familiarity with power system analysis tools such as SKM or ETAP .
Compensation & Benefits Salary Range:
$160,000•$250,000 , depending on experience, licensure, technical expertise, and geographic location.
