Job Description
The City of Chandler Public Works & Utilities Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Principal Engineer (PE) in the Capital Improvement Project division, focused on the water and wastewater field . The position is scheduled to work M-F, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Current City of Chandler employees may only hold one position and are not eligible for additional part-time or secondary positions within the City of Chandler. Why work for Chandler?

- Flexible schedule/remote work options (when available) Who we are The Capital Improvements Division of the Public Works & Utilities Department is one of six American Public Works Association (APWA) Accredited agencies in the State and one of a few ADOT Certified Agencies for the administration of design and construction for State and Federally grant-funded transportation projects.
- A bachelor's degree in an Engineering field; and
- 8 years of experience as a registered engineer in water and wastewater utility design, construction, unit process control and optimization including at least 2 years of previous supervisory experience; and
- An Arizona Professional Engineer Licensure; and
- A valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
