We are looking for a unique professional who is a passionate, degreed engineer by trade, but an entertainer and educator at heart. Position Summary Are you a Water/Wastewater Engineer who is tired of the standard cubicle grind? Do you look at LinkedIn, YouTube, or TikTok and think, "I could explain this process better—and make it entertaining" ? We are seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer & Content Creator to become the public face of our brand. In this role, you will split your time between actual engineering/technical consulting and high-impact digital content creation. Your mission is to build a massive personal and company brand within the water sector, positioning yourself as the go-to industry expert, which will ultimately drive high-quality B2B inbound leads for our engineering services and products.
Key Responsibilities Content Strategy & Creation:
Script, film, and produce engaging, educational, and entertaining multimedia content (videos, podcasts, LinkedIn articles, short-form Reels/Shorts) focused on water/wastewater engineering, industry trends, and technical problem-solving.
Dual Branding:
Co-build your personal professional brand alongside the company's brand, establishing yourself as a top-tier industry influencer and thought leader.
Inbound Lead Generation:
Leverage your digital presence and content to engage municipalities, industrial clients, and consulting firms, seamlessly funneling audience curiosity into legitimate sales leads.
Technical Credibility:
Collaborate with our internal engineering and product teams to translate complex technical concepts, case studies, and field successes into digestible, high-value public content.
Industry Engagement:
Host webinars, participate in live Q&A sessions, speak at industry conferences, and actively engage with the water engineering community in online comment sections and forums.
Qualifications & Skills The Technical:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering. A professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT status is highly preferred.
The Creative:
A proven track record of creating digital content (please provide links to your portfolio, LinkedIn profile, YouTube channel, TikTok, or blog).
Industry Knowledge:
At least 2-4 years of hands-on experience in water/wastewater treatment, piping design, pump stations, or environmental engineering.
Communication:
Exceptional camera presence, public speaking skills, and the ability to write copy that is both technically accurate and highly engaging.
Tech-Savvy:
Familiarity with basic video editing tools (CapCut, Premiere Pro, etc.) and social media analytics across LinkedIn, YouTube, and other platforms.
