Full Job Description Water Resources Engineer Location:
Vancouver, WA (Hybrid) Jackson Civil is a growing civil engineering firm serving public and private clients throughout Washington State. We partner closely with small cities and communities to deliver thoughtful, practical infrastructure solutions that make a lasting impact. We are seeking a Water Resources Engineer with water infrastructure design and water system planning experience who is motivated by meaningful projects, professional growth, and leadership opportunities. This role offers increasing responsibility, mentorship of junior staff, and direct involvement with clients and communities. What You'll Do Plan and design public water infrastructure projects. Accurately and efficiently complete water system plan updates for municipalities in the State of Washington. Provide hydrology, hydraulics and water resource engineering input and support for environmental baseline, water management, water treatment, permitting, remediation and reclamation projects. Development construction documents including plans, specifications, and estimates. Collaborate directly with municipal clients, agencies, and stakeholders. Manage and mentor junior engineers and design staff. Coordinate with contractors and review construction activities for quality and compliance. Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables. Develop scopes of work and cost estimates to complete tasks associated with hydrology and water resource engineering. Apply innovative, community-focused solutions to water infrastructure and planning challenges What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering 6+ years of professional civil engineering experience , with public works or municipal project exposure Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington and Oregon, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and standard project management tools Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with clients Interest in leadership, mentorship, and long-term career growth Work Environment Hybrid schedule available Candidates must be comfortable commuting to the Vancouver office as needed for collaboration and project demands
Compensation & Benefits Salary Range:
$120,000 - $150,000 (commensurate with experience and licensure)
