About the Opportunity A well-established Texas-based engineering firm specializing exclusively in water and wastewater infrastructure is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join its growing Lampasas office. Known for delivering practical, client-focused solutions to municipalities and utility districts throughout Texas, the firm has built a strong reputation for technical excellence, responsive service, and long-term client relationships. This opportunity is ideal for an engineer looking to build hands-on experience across a variety of water and wastewater projects while working closely with senior technical leaders. The successful candidate will gain exposure to planning, design, permitting, construction support, and client interaction, providing an excellent foundation for long-term professional growth. Key Responsibilities Assist with the planning and design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Support the design of water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, pump stations, and treatment facilities. Coordinate with project managers, municipal clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders. Participate in field investigations, site visits, and construction-phase services. Assist with project permitting and regulatory compliance efforts. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline. Minimum 3 years of experience in water and/or wastewater engineering. EIT certification preferred. P.E. license is not required for candidates with fewer than 4 years of experience. Familiarity with municipal water and wastewater infrastructure design. Experience with engineering design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, or hydraulic modeling tools is beneficial. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
