J. Louis Construction of Texas' Mansfield office (DFW Area) is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with minimum 2+ years of experience. Responsibilities Responsible with assisting the operations team (construction managers, project managers, superintendents) in the construction of water transmission and wastewater interceptor type municipal project. Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC our projects for owners/ engineers. In addition to strong technical experience, other responsibilities will include managing project tasks, project design/ planning, and permitting, construction coordination, and coordinating work with other team members. Subcontracts and PO's for materials/ scopes needed on project. Collaborate with team (owners, engineers, vendors, subs, etc.) to contribute to the successful completion of assigned projects. Maintaining a high degree of quality sets of plans along with checking the work of others. RFI's, daily reports, shop drawing review, take-offs Assisting team with preparation of estimating bids/ proposals (CSP's, etc.) and presentations/ evaluated proposals. Assist in monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedules. As a critical member of the team, you will perform a variety of tasks and will receive on-the-job as well as mentorship and exposure to project management, project financials, and client interactions. Cost estimates/ evaluations and risk evaluation. Qualifications 2+ years of relevant municipal water/ wastewater engineering design experience Bachelors or Masters from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering "Engineer-In-Training" or "Engineering Intern" certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months) Experience with designing pipelines, pump stations, and hydraulic modeling calculation Experience using AutoCAD and Civil 3D Communicating technical thoughts clearly and concisely Excellent technical writing skills Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment Ability to work independently and as a team Why S.J.
