Job Description

Category Schools - General Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic educational setting as a dedicated Language Arts Teacher, engaging high school students in meaningful English Language Arts learning experiences. In this contract opportunity, you'll inspire and guide learners in a supportive environment, fostering strong communication and critical thinking skills. The assignment is based at a single school building, offering stability and focus throughout the academic year.
Key Details:
Contract position running from August 17th through May 28th 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday Workday hours: 7:45 am to 3:30 pm High school student population
Qualifications:
Valid teaching certification for General Education, with a focus on ELA or Language Arts Previous experience teaching English Language Arts at the high school level preferred Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging, inclusive learning atmosphere Familiarity with curriculum planning, assessment, and differentiated instruction Passion for mentoring and motivating students in their academic and personal growth Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement English Language Arts lesson plans that align with curriculum standards Foster a stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and expression Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust instruction as needed Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success Participate in school meetings, parent conferences, and professional development as required If you thrive on connecting with teens and are eager to make a real impact, this Language Arts teaching position is a rewarding way to advance your career.
