Job Description

Company Information TARSCO Bolted Tank Inc. manufactures and constructs customized, above-ground bolted storage tank systems worldwide. We are located at 5897 State Highway 59 in Goodman, MO. This is an onsite safety position. The working hours are Monday- Thursday, 10 hour days with overtime as needed for business demands.
Job Summary:
The Environmental, Health and Safety Coordinator will assist the Regional EHS Manager and site management with the company-wide safety, environmental, health and security programs. These would include day to day controlling of loss to personnel, property and assets of the company and working to insure environmental compliance. The site EHS Coordinator will conduct research that will result in ensuring compliance and potential policy or procedural changes. Primary responsibilities of this position are to assist operations with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, safety training, hazard recognition, and health monitoring.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in assuring that the company is in compliance with safety-related areas Assist with ensuring compliance with state and federal OSHA requirements Maintain and facilitate safety programs, review accident reports, inspection reports, OSHA logs, and related documentation Perform Job Safety Analysis Conduct safety/health/environmental related trainings, meetings and programs Assist with investigating injury or property loss claims Assist in the activities of workers compensation claims Perform occasional incident causal factor studies and generate a summary of findings Maintain log of required permits Serve as emergency response coordinator for facility Creates collaborative relationships with leadership and associates Maintain data of all safety key performance indicators (KPIs). Keep these visible in the site and coordinate initiatives that continuously improve these metrics Assist with managing capital projects for safety needs to ensure site is within compliance of corporate, federal, state and other agency requirements. Flexibility to assist with EHS needs for a 24-hour operation Perform other duties as directed. Competencies:
  • Excellent, effective oral and written communication skills with multi-level of understanding from staff
  • Ability to work in a not climate controlled manufacturing environment for approximately 75% of the work week with approximately 25% of work week in an office setting
  • Presentation/training facilitation skills
  • Ability to navigate complex challenges with ambiguity
  • Ability to work with leadership to build an excellent team focused safety culture
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently to establish priorities under the direction of management Education and/or
Experience:
  • At least three (3) years of safety experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • At least two (2) years of safety experience in the tank construction and repair industry preferred
  • Knowledge and facilitation experience of DOT preferred and OSHA safety and health regulations required
  • Understanding of workers compensation insurance and property insurance protection requirements
  • OSHA 10 and/or 30 certification preferred
  • Train the trainer certification for LOTO, forklift and other industrial powered equipment preferred
  • Strong computer skills to include MS Office, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Minimal travel required
