This position is ideal for someone looking to start a career in automotive collision repair and refinishing while learning hands-on skills in a professional shop environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, motivated to learn, detail-oriented, and interested in developing technical automotive repair skills. Key Responsibilities Assist body technicians and painters with vehicle repair and refinishing processes Perform sanding, masking, buffing, and paint preparation work Support minor body repairs and cosmetic touch-ups under supervision Prepare vehicles and parts for paint and refinishing Maintain clean and organized workspaces, tools, and equipment Follow manufacturer repair procedures and safety standards Assist with moving vehicles and maintaining shop flow Participate in ongoing technical and safety training Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Automotive or technical school experience is a plus Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Strong attention to detail and work ethic Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Preferred Skills Prior shop or automotive experience preferred but not required Familiarity with hand tools and shop equipment Strong teamwork and communication skills Interest in pursuing collision repair certifications Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the shop for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally Comfortable working around paint products, tools, and shop equipment Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay Paid training and career development opportunities Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays 401(k) with company match (if applicable) Employee discounts on vehicles, parts, and service
