Entry-Level HVAC Service Technician Intern Summary:

This is a 90-day program designed to teach interns the field of commercial HVAC careers. You will be evaluated on a 30/60/90 day basis to assess your knowledge and job performance. After the 90-days the interns who meet performance expectations will be hired as an HVAC Technician Class I. Install, service, repair heating, ventilating, air conditioning systems, and related environmental-control systems. Utilize knowledge of heating and refrigeration theory, and pipefitting.

This role is based out of the Macon, GA office and serves the surrounding area.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

This posting covers HVAC Service Technician Intern Duties and are based on the candidate's qualifications below: Intern Service Technician Changing Filters Cleaning Coils, Basic Maintenance Check and clean drains Hook up gauges to the system Provide excellent customer service

Qualifications:

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of computer and tablets. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to work well in a team environment. Strong adaptability skills.

Required Experience, Certifications, and Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Trade/Technical School certification or degree preferred. Valid Driver's License. EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification preferred

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to climb ladders, lift and carry 50 or more pounds, distinguish colors for electrical work and tolerate confined spaces. Work will involve heights and seasonal temperature extremes.
