We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Instrumentation & Control Systems (I&CS) Design Engineer. As part of our West Central I&C Group, you'll have the chance to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our municipal clients' water challenges locally and worldwide. You'll get to work with our world-class Instrumentation and Control Systems team dedicated to protecting the most valuable asset in the world, water. You'll get to work on projects on every aspect from design through onsite startup work. You will enjoy having the deepest technical resources in the industry to support you, access to international work, and Design-Build projects. Using your experience, you'll contribute to the development of Process & Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs), control narratives, specifications, network drawings, panel drawings, and instrument selection. You'll coordinate with other engineering disciplines for a cohesive design. You will contribute to developing control system software in Programmable Logic Controllers and Human Machine Interfaces and perform facility startups and commissioning activities.   • Design control panel layouts, BOM's, Nameplate Schedules, AC and/or DC wireway layouts.
  • Development of I/O wiring diagrams, AC and/or DC power distribution diagrams, I/O Lists.
  • Instrumentation specifications and selection of instruments using an Instrument Index and/or instrument data sheets.
  • Copper and fiber optic networks for the control system or SCADA.
  • Develop Bill of Materials and Estimates for Design projects.
  • Prepare drawings detailing the system designed utilizing AutoCAD and REVIT.
  • Develop Conceptual design reports and Concept of Operation Documents.
  • Prepare Engineering Specifications.
  • Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines and architects
  • Engaging with instrumentation vendors and manufactures to understand product capabilities.
  • Program PLC and SCADA Systems Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering Ideally, you'll also have: Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit software Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers and SCADA systems.
Engineer in Training (EIT) with plans of taking the Control Systems PE exam once requirements are met.
