Job Overview We are seeking motivated individuals for an Entry Level Manual Machinist position with a unique opportunity to receive comprehensive CNC training. This paid role is perfect for those eager to develop hands-on machining skills, gain exposure to CNC programming, and grow within a manufacturing environment. No prior experience is required—just a passion for learning and mechanical aptitude! This role offers clear opportunities for advancement into CNC Machining and CNC Programming as skills develop. Responsibilities Learn to set up and operate manual machine tools such as lathes and milling machines Use basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) to check part dimensions Perform basic shop math to calculate measurements and tolerances Secure workpieces, fixtures, and cutting tools properly and safely Produce parts according to prints, sketches, or instructions Inspect parts for quality and accuracy Assist with basic machine maintenance and housekeeping Follow all safety rules and shop procedures Support experienced machinist and learn new skills as training progresses Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste Requirements & Qualifications Strong mechanical knowledge with an interest in machining or manufacturing processes Basic math skills suitable for measurements and calculations in machining tasks Willingness to learn and take direction Strong attention to detail and quality Ability to learn blueprint reading and machining process Good communication skills including the ability to work well with team members Prior shop, mechanical or trade school experience is preferred but not required Education & Training High School Diploma or GED required Trade school, vocational training, or hands on mechanical experience preferred Essential Functions & Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and 75 lbs with assistance Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of materials Ability to work overtime as required Career Growth Opportunities A proactive attitude with a desire to build a career in machining.
