Job Description A manufacturing organization is seeking a motivated and reliable Quality Control Technician to support laboratory and production quality activities. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Perform laboratory testing and procedures in accordance with standard operating protocols. Conduct daily testing using ovens for moisture and LOI, particle size analysis with wet screen mesh and PSD, color measurement with a color meter, titration, and chemical analysis with XRF and XRD. Perform additional testing depending on material, such as bulk density and gas analysis for foam products. Collect, analyze, and interpret data to support manufacturing and quality objectives. Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and customer specifications. Complete quality control documentation and maintain accurate testing records. Support cleanliness, organization, and safety of the laboratory environment. Collaborate with cross-functional team members on quality-related initiatives. Maintain laboratory inventory and assist with ordering chemicals and supplies. Essential Skills High School Diploma or equivalent, or Bachelor's degree in a related scientific or technical field preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience. Knowledge of chemical safety and general laboratory best practices. Comfortable using computers, laboratory instrumentation, and basic software systems. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication skills. Previous experience in a quality control or laboratory setting preferred. Ability to wear a respirator during the shift. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in quality assurance, quality control, laboratory, chemistry, biology, GMP, QC, wet chemistry, titration, chemical sampling, and data entry. Work Environment The position requires working the 2nd shift from 3:45 PM to 12:15 AM, which includes a $0.50/hour shift differential. The ability to wear a respirator outside of breaks and lunch is necessary. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brazil, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $22.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
