Entry Level Sheetmetal Mechanic

Shift:

1st Shift (6A-2:30P) An entry-level Sheetmetal Mechanic would typically support aircraft modification, repair, and fabrication projects under the direction of experienced mechanics and leads. While duties can vary depending on the aircraft program and workload, the role generally focuses on learning aircraft structural repair and metal fabrication processes in an aviation environment. Job Description Supports maintenance, inspection, and repair activities on equipment and machinery within a shop environment. The role assists with troubleshooting, diagnostics, general shop operations, and equipment maintenance, while adhering to safety procedures and technical documentation. Education & Job Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Ability to pass a hands-on skill assessment during the interview process Reliable, team-oriented, and safety-focused Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language Have basic set of tools. Preferred Skills Completion of the FFA or Agricultural (AG) course is a plus Automotive or construction trade experience preferred, school or work-based Job Duties & Functions Perform basic mechanical repairs, maintenance, and inspections on equipment and machinery Assist senior mechanics with troubleshooting and diagnostics Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively Follow technical manuals, diagrams, and instructions Maintain accurate records of work performed Support general shop operations, including cleaning, organizing tools, and preparing work areas Adhere to company safety policies and procedures at all times Physical Requirements & Environment Ability to lift to 50 lbs. Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods Capable of working in varying environments, including indoor/outdoor and shop floor settings

Pay:

$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
