Job Description

Company Overview Fabriweld Corporation is a leader in short lead time contract fabrication, machining, and laser cutting. We provide large capacity machining, gantry mills, vertical and horizontal machining centers, hydraulic presses, and other OEM equipment—all managed in-house from design to finish. Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to ensure our corporation adheres to all environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards. This role serves as a critical lead in developing and implementing policies, conducting risk assessments, and performing regular inspections to maintain a safe working environment. The EHS Manager must work closely with employees, management, and regulatory bodies to identify and mitigate potential hazards across all divisions of Fabriweld.
Key Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance:
Stay updated on local, state, and federal EHS regulations and ensure policies align with OSHA, EPA, and other industry standards.
Audit Oversight:
Monitor compliance status by conducting thorough inspections and audits to identify and address any issues.
Incident Investigation:
Investigate workplace accidents, near misses, and environmental incidents to determine root causes and implement documented corrective actions.
Training & Development:
Develop and deliver ongoing EHS training programs for all employees, including new hire orientations, safety communication initiatives, and occupational health best practices.
Safety Culture:
Promote a strong safety culture and integrate safety considerations into operational decisions across the organization.
Emergency Response:
Develop, implement, and test emergency response plans through regular drills and exercises.
Performance Metrics:
Establish and monitor KPIs to identify areas for improvement and submit necessary reports to management and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications & Skills Education:
Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field.
Experience:
Proven experience in EHS roles, specifically within manufacturing or industrial environments.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA); professional certifications are highly preferred.
Abilities:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail and organizational ability.
Communication:
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels. Physical Demands & Work Environment Must be able to work in both an office and shop floor environment. Ability to sit, stand, balance, stoop, kneel, and occasionally lift/move items weighing up to 40 pounds. Some travel may be required to support various divisions.
