  • Temporary Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to join our organization.
This pivotal role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs that promote a safe, compliant, and healthy workplace environment across manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of occupational health standards, environmental regulations, and safety management practices. By ensuring adherence to all relevant laws and fostering a culture of safety, the EHS Manager will contribute significantly to operational excellence and employee well-being. Duties Develop, implement, and oversee environmental health and safety policies aligned with local, state, and federal regulations such as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), and workers' compensation law. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions. Lead incident investigations by performing root cause analysis to determine underlying issues and prevent recurrence. Coordinate safety training programs including CPR, first aid, OSHA compliance, and other relevant certifications for employees. Maintain accurate documentation of safety reports, inspection records, incident reports, and compliance audits. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations by managing waste disposal, emissions controls, and pollution prevention initiatives. Promote a culture of continuous improvement through training & development initiatives focused on occupational health and safety best practices. Manage workers' compensation claims process in accordance with legal requirements to support employee recovery and organizational compliance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop emergency response plans and conduct drills regularly. Prepare detailed report writing for safety performance metrics, incident analysis, and regulatory submissions. Requirements Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, occupational health practices, and workers' compensation law. Certification in first aid, CPR, OSHA safety training, or related fields is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and develop effective corrective actions. Knowledge of report writing techniques for safety documentation and compliance reporting. Experience in training & development related to EHS topics for diverse workforce groups. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. Excellent communication skills to effectively convey safety policies and procedures across all levels of the organization.
