Job Description:

You will represent our client at a biotech/pharmaceutical facility. Provide full-time day-to-day, onsite EHS support at client site, primary contact for hazardous waste and biowaste weekly servicing; coordinates with vendor and obtains hazmat supplies for end users (all sites).Responsibilities

• Utilize knowledge of Maryland hazardous waste and biohazardous waste regulations to manage the waste streams
• Provide technical support as needed, i.e., chemical compatibility, waste management, spill prevention/control and emergency response
• Provide chemical inventory support. Must be able to provide metrics for the EHS tasks and waste disposal activities
• Complete weekly Central Accumulation Area inspections (all sites)
• PPE Management (equipment/vendors) and other EHS tasks as needed

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or related scientific field such as Biology, Chemistry, Industrial Hygiene, or Engineering
• Minimum 2 years of Environmental Health & Safety experience
• Must be knowledgeable of EPA and DOT regulations and hazardous waste collection and management
