12-month long term contract Pay rate: $30 - $33/hr. on W2 Job description: Shares responsibility for the implementation of the EH&S management system, in order to meet business objectives and to maintain the license to operate. Provides hands-on environmental, industrial hygiene (IH), and health and safety (H&S) activities for a specific plant. Requires established basic EH&S skills to perform a range of routine work activities using existing standard EH&S procedures and or analytical scientific methods. Responsibilities Duties Implements detailed, task level, day to day waste management programs, work processes, standards and procedures. Responsible for environmental compliance inspections of satellite and < 90 day waste areas. Generate new waste profiles and manifest offsite waste shipments. Ensures that the Environmental, IH, and Health and Safety aspects of operating discipline are adequate and applied to achieve EH&S performance goals. In most cases, would perform the role of section owner for the EH&S sections of operating discipline. Acts as the Plant resource for related EH&S information on procedures, guidelines and standards. Serves as plant contact for Environmental, IH, and Health and Safety issues. Coaches teams and individuals on EH&S related tasks and activities. Assists in developing and achieving area or plant EH&S goals. Ensures compliance tasks are completed. Performs coordinates certain Environmental, and IH monitoring, data collection, analyzing and reporting for the Plant. Experience Completion of Short-Cycle Tertiary Degree (i.e. Associate's Degree) in related field plus EH&S, manufacturing or other related experience preferred.
