Salary + Overtime Pay + Benefits Position Overview We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Environmental Operations & Sustainability Specialist to support environmental compliance, recycling operations, sustainability initiatives, and operational coordination within an automotive manufacturing environment. This role is primarily office-based and includes operational reporting, compliance documentation, data management, vendor coordination, and administrative support related to environmental and recycling operations. The position also includes periodic on-site coordination and operational monitoring within manufacturing, warehouse, and recycling areas. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, comfortable managing operational data and documentation, and capable of balancing administrative responsibilities with field coordination activities in a fast-paced industrial environment. Key Responsibilities Maintain environmental and operational records including manifests, tracking logs, compliance documentation, invoices, and recycling reports Maintain tracking logs, reports, and operational documentation using Excel and internal systems Coordinate vendors, transportation providers, recycling partners, and operational logistics Support environmental compliance activities related to EPA, OSHA, DOT, and local regulations Track operational metrics and prepare recurring reports for management and compliance purposes Support audits, inspections, and sustainability initiatives Conduct periodic on-site inspections and operational coordination within manufacturing and recycling areas Identify opportunities for process improvements, operational efficiency, and cost reduction Collaborate with warehouse, production, and environmental operations teams Qualifications Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in: Environmental Science Sustainability Logistics / Supply Chain Business Administration Industrial Operations Related fields Strong organizational and communication skills Detail-oriented with the ability to manage operational data and documentation accurately Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Experience in manufacturing, environmental operations, logistics, recycling, or compliance-related work Familiarity with EPA, OSHA, or DOT regulations Experience coordinating vendors, reporting, or operational logistics Prior experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for candidates who demonstrate strong work ethic, professionalism, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
