Job Description

Description Auburn Homes is hiring for an Environmental Services Supervisor (Housekeeping). We offer a full continuum of care including assisted living, memory support, short-term rehabilitation, and long-term skilled nursing care for older adults. Our team is passionate about providing holistic, transformative care and helping those we serve rediscover their light within. This leadership position would oversee the Environmental Services Technicians at both our Chaska and Waconia locations and would be expected to travel between the two communities as needed to support operations, cleanliness standards, and team leadership. Full Time AM Shift $24.40-$26.62 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Supervise and support Environmental Services Technicians across both Chaska and Waconia locations. Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and infection control standards are maintained throughout all departments and care settings. Coordinate daily housekeeping operations and staffing assignments to support resident care and operational needs. Travel between locations regularly to provide onsite leadership, coaching, and operational support. Lead the onboarding and training process for new Environmental Services staff, including orientation, department procedures, safety expectations, and ongoing skills development. Provide continuous coaching, mentoring, and education to support employee growth, accountability, and performance improvement. Monitor department performance and implement process improvements to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. Conduct routine inspections and audits to ensure compliance with organizational, state, and federal standards. Assist with scheduling, staffing coordination, and department coverage needs. Manage employee performance within the department, including performance evaluations, corrective action, coaching conversations, attendance concerns, and employee relations matters. Address team concerns professionally and collaboratively while promoting accountability, teamwork, and a positive workplace culture. Maintain inventory and assist with ordering housekeeping supplies and equipment. Collaborate with leadership teams across departments to support resident satisfaction and overall community operations. Promote a positive resident-centered environment aligned with the mission and values of Auburn Homes. Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of two (2) years of leadership or supervisory experience required. Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience required, preferably in healthcare, senior living, hospitality, or a related setting. Commitment to providing high-quality services and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Ability to relate well and communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and leadership. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. Ability to exercise independent judgment, problem solve, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Ability to adapt to changing priorities, operational needs, and staffing situations. Strong organizational skills with the ability to understand, retain, prioritize, delegate, and follow through on tasks. Ability to onboard, train, coach, and support team members while promoting accountability and teamwork. Ability to communicate effectively verbally, visually, and in writing with staff, residents, and leadership. Flexible and tolerant of interruptions while maintaining professionalism and composure during changes in workflow or priorities.
