This is a seasonal position working May through Mid October. This job is seasonal and will work at Crater Park.

Responsibilities:

Waste Collection and Disposal:

Collect and dispose of waste from facilities within the park, including restaurants, retail stores, lodging, campgrounds, and public spaces. Sort and separate recyclable materials to promote sustainable waste management practices. Collect and transport compost, organics, and recyclables from the property to facilities in Klamath Falls. Operate and maintain waste collection equipment, such as trash compactors and recycling bins. Supporting employee engagement campaigns to help reduce waste sent to the landfill Collaborate with other park staff to coordinate cleaning schedules and address specific cleanliness requirements for events or special occasions. Provide information and guidance regarding waste disposal and recycling practices within the park. Foster a positive and informative interaction with park guests, promoting a sense of environmental responsibility.

Qualifications:

Strong communication and organizational skills Valid driver's license required Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy objects and working in various weather conditions. This is a seasonal position - full-time employment during peak visitor season May-October. Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays as needed. Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
