Job Description

Job Overview Join our dedicated team as an Equine Sanctuary Worker and become a vital part of providing compassionate care and maintenance for rescued and rehabilitating horses. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of the horses while maintaining the sanctuary's grounds and facilities. Your enthusiasm, hands-on skills, and love for animals will help create a safe, nurturing environment where horses can heal and thrive. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, develop practical skills, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of these majestic animals. Responsibilities Assist with daily animal husbandry tasks, including feeding, grooming, and monitoring horse health Safely handle horses using proper animal handling techniques to ensure their comfort and safety Maintain clean and secure stables, paddocks, and surrounding areas to promote a healthy environment Qualifications Prior experience working with animals, especially horses is highly desirable Knowledge of animal husbandry practices including feeding schedules, health monitoring, and handling techniques Basic math skills for measurements related to animal care Ability to work independently Ability to commute / perform in all weather conditions Must have a positive team demeanor Attendance and great work ethic is a must This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about animal welfare who enjoy working outdoors in a dynamic environment. Your hands-on expertise combined with a caring attitude will help ensure the sanctuary remains a safe haven where horses can recover and flourish.
Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
