United Stes Citizens Duties Help Duties & Responsibilities :
(1) Serves as a recognized authority on the repair and operion of various types of ARNG equipment. Provides instruction and assistance regarding equipment maintenance procedures, techniques, and methods as a part of the Maintenance Assistance and Instruction Team (MAIT). (2) Provides advice, assistance, and guidance regarding maintenance management systems, merial readiness programs, cost reduction programs, and maintenance shop practices in maintenance facilities. Receives reviews, and processes unit Army Merial Stus System (AMSS) reports and Missile Merial Readiness reports and submits a consolided report to the Logistics Support Activity (LOGSA). (3) Prepares and conducts both classroom and on-the-job training designed to upgrade, improve, and/or upde the knowledge and working skills of unit maintenance personnel. Develops, writes, updes, and teaches units of instruction for new equipment training. Evalues training progress in areas such as basic mechanic principles; theories of equipment repair and modificion; compliance with established procedures and directives; requirements for equipment maintenance records and reports; and proper utilizion of equipment, personnel, funds, and facilities. (4) Evalues directives to ensure adherence to standard methods, conformity in maintenance procedures, and the proper use of maintenance equipment, facilities, and personnel. Recommends policy, procedure, or operion changes, as required, to facilite and ensure efficiency in maintenance operions and manpower utilizion. (5) Reviews the effectiveness and efficiency of equipment and maintenance management and needs for improvement of existing practices and the impact on the overall maintenance program. Reviews and evalues informion in technical reports, logistical studies, supply da systems, and observions/inspections of maintenance organizions. Researches merial pertaining to maintenance and maintenance management. Utilizes computer software programs to identify errors, equipment, non-mission capable time, and to determine a course of action to improve readiness. Recommends the revision of higher headquarters' policies, procedures, practices, and regulions. Provides methods for improving, consoliding, simplifying, and standardizing operions and management of maintenance activities. Performs assistance s to logistic and maintenance functional areas to provide guidance and assistance to ensure effective and smooth maintenance operions. (6) Performs hands on maintenance procedures to personnel on proper trade techniques, practices, and explains safety precautions involved in maintenance. 7) Performs other as duties as assigned. GENERAL EXPERIENCE
: Must possess experience, educion, or training which has provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more classes of equipment; the experience must include knowledge of standard shop terminology; a basic knowledge of mechanical principles reling to equipment; experience must demonstre the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical publicions; knowledge is of the type gained from technical training, educion, and experience in functions such as repairing, overhauling, maintaining, constructing, or inspecting equipment; experience using computer and automion system.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
: Must possess least One (1) year of specialized experiences the GS-07 level; AND/OR least Twenty-four (24) months experience, educion, or training which provided knowledge and skill in applying commonly used equipment, facility, or service principles and concepts; experience in the use of tools and test equipment; experience which provided knowledge of maintenance programs and techniques; knowledge and skill in applying principles, concepts, and methods of equipment design; experience in the use of tools and test equipment; experience developing, installing, inspecting, or revising equipment maintenance programs and techniques.
