Equipment Technician

Job Description MicroLink Devices is seeking a Day Shift Equipment Technician to support the manufacturing processes used in the production of lightweight, high-efficiency solar cells for spacecraft, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), and terrestrial applications. The Repair Technician's primary responsibilities will be the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment. The position requires operating in a clean room environment for a portion of work time. The successful candidate must be able to follow established safety rules and procedures for working in a clean room Duties and Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment. Work as directed to repair malfunctioning equipment. Assist in the installation of new equipment. General light labor consistent with a manufacturing facility. Maintain accurate repair records and data entry. Maintain a spare parts inventory. Work with 3rd party support and OEM field service when necessary. Requirements Educational/Work Experience (one of the following): High School diploma with +5 years relevant work experience, Associate's degree with +3 years relevant work experience or relevant Trade School certification. Ability to identify and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems. Must be able to follow maintenance specifications and schedules Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate observations clearly. Basic computer skills (Windows, Excel, email, etc.) Must work first shift (8:00am-5:00pm), overtime and weekend work occasionally required to support production scheduling. Job offer will be contingent upon completing a successful limited background investigation. Must be eligible to work in the US, no sponsorship provided for this position. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50lbs. Beneficial Skills and Experience 2 years' experience in preventative maintenance and repair of industrial equipment. Proficiency with cryogenic vacuum pumps, oil and dry pumps, and high-vacuum systems such as evaporation, sputtering and environmental systems Industrial certifications a plus. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Organizational skill and attention to detail. Experience with 5S systems. Experience with ISO9001 quality systems. Experience with Electroplating, Lithography, PVD, or automated production tools.
