POSITION
ESL/ELE Teacher2026-2027 School YearShrewsbury Public Schools is currently accepting applications for an English as a Second Language/English Language Education Teacher at Calvin Coolidge Elementary School, beginning with the 2026-2027 school year. We seek culturally responsive and sustaining candidates who lead with an asset-based mindset and are dedicated to ensuring multilingual learners have the agency and systemic support to flourish both in and out of the classroom.

This is a full-time benefits-eligible position with salary consistent with the Shrewsbury Education Association agreement.

Salary for this position will be based on the SEA contract. Steps and lanes for 2026-2027 can be found here. Individual placement is contingent upon review and approval of education and experience.

Candidates with diverse racial, ethnic, cultural, religious, class, and/or gender backgrounds and experiences are strongly encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications include: Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license as an English as a Second Language Teacher, PreK-6 Understands the needs and behaviors of elementary school multilingual learners with diverse backgrounds and experiences Experienced translating the 2020 WIDA Standards into actionable learning targets for multilingual learners Exhibits the values of Shrewsbury Public Schools Must be able to work flexibly in a changing environmentFind more information about Shrewsbury Public Schools athttps://schools.shrewsburyma.gov
