Espresso Bar Sales Associate

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, and teas. Serve food items and adhere to all food safety regulations and quality controls. Operate coffee equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and brewers. Greet customers and take orders, including offering menu recommendations, promoting menu options, and noting dietary restrictions and customizations. Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient manner. Make drinks according to company recipes and standards. Restock supplies, such as cups, lids, coffee beans, and syrups. Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following company standards and sanitation regulations. Work point-of-sale (POS) system to complete transactions. Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, and inventory tasks. Attend and participate in Bloedorns-sponsored training, when required. Perform other assigned duties, responsibilities, or tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

An Espresso Bar Sales Associate must: Complete and pass a pre-employment drug, alcohol, and background screen. Speak, write, and communicate effectively in the English language. Possess interpersonal and customer-relation skills. Work a flexible schedule, including weekends. Operate a computer, calculator, and cash register. Utilize Microsoft Office products (i.e., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Espresso Bar Sales Associates:

Work in an indoor setting. Occasionally lift/move objects up to 50 pounds, stand, and walk. Regularly stand, use hands, reach with arms and hands, talk, and hear.
