In this energetic role, you will support the estimating department by preparing detailed cost analyses, assisting with bid proposals, and ensuring accurate project pricing. Your proactive approach and keen eye for detail will help drive project planning and cost control efforts, contributing to efficient project execution from inception to completion. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in construction estimating while working alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced environment. Duties
- Evaluate new jobs to aid in determining whether we should pursue those projects.
- Quantify projects we do look to pursue to aid in bid proposal preparation.
- Figure earthwork quantities for estimating & scheduling purposes (will utilize Trimble Business Center & Agtek). Create the initial Trimble Business Center & Agtek files to share with estimators, managers, & project engineers.
- Assist with processing drone flights to create deliverables used to evaluate project progress & generate billing quantities.
- Attend meetings such as mandatory pre-bid meetings to better gauge our interest in pursuing new projects.
- Create & update a plans/specifications log to stay current with the latest project revisions, drawings, & specifications.
- Plan printing during the estimating process & as drawings are revised.
- Subcontractor coordination (i.e., sending subcontractors pertinent project information for their proposal preparation).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- General civil/sitework knowledge.
- Assist project engineers with their responsibilities, when available.
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per yearBenefits:
