ABOUT THE JOB
: Efficiently and accurately generate takeoffs of project plans, and inputs necessary data into software programs to create quotes. Analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals and other documentation as needed when completing quotes
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
: Assesses all costs - material and labor - for potential construction projects. Assist with creating estimates and cost or expenditure statements for use in future project consideration. Consults with Sales and provides Sales with detailed scopes of work for competitive bids. Develop multiple estimates for a variety of materials in a typical construction project Able to read and understand construction blue prints Translate blue prints to quote/estimate for project Know pricing structure of company and use Best Management Practice to win bids Assist with project work as directed by Department Manager Comply with all Geneva Pipe and Precast/NWP policies, procedures and guidelines Regular, reliable and predictable attendance is necessary in order to perform the essential functions of this position.

: Strong administrative and organizational skills with an attention to detail Ability to work effectively as a team member, establish and maintain cooperative working relationships Ability to self-manage Possess strong analytical skills Possess a positive attitude and a strong work ethic Understands precast process and production capabilities of plants
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
: High school, College, certifications or equivalent 1 year experience in a construction office environment Proficient in Microsoft Office Excellent verbal and written communication skills Able to read, write and speak in English language Must have a proficient understanding of civil engineering and surveying terms and methods.

Physical Requirements Sedentary work:
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects, including the human body Visual Acuity The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; and visual inspection involving small defects at distances close to the eyes. For up to 2/3 of the amount of time, the worker is required to have close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less). For less than 1/3 of the amount of time, the worker is required to have color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors).
