We are looking for a Cook to join our Harvest Table restaurant, creating a unique Napa Valley dining experience.

PAY SCALE

The pay scale for this position is between $23.00 and $24.00 per hour. This is the pay range for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual wage rates will be based on a number of factors, such as experience, type of hotel experience and education. The ideal candidate for this position will have the ability to: Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces) Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef's instructions Clean up station and take care of leftover food Stock inventory appropriately Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers Given our slower business levels we are seeking someone who is willing to get the job done independently on most days and will support on busier days Includes some dishwashing on slower days Duties will consist of assisting the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and company goals.

Requirements:

Prior experience in high volume restaurant 2+ years required Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks Familiar with industry's best practices
