Back of House Team Member (2:00 PM / 5:00 PM
  • Close) At Chick-fil-A Friendswood, our Back of House Team Members play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality food with accuracy, speed, and care.
We are looking for dependable individuals who take pride in maintaining exceptional food safety standards, preparing food that meets Chick-fil-A's quality expectations, and helping minimize food waste through careful preparation and inventory awareness. Position Overview Back of House Team Members are responsible for food preparation, cooking, kitchen cleanliness, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment during evening operations. This role is ideal for individuals who work well in fast-paced environments and are available to work afternoon and evening shifts beginning between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM until close . Responsibilities Prepare and cook Chick-fil-A menu items according to brand standards Maintain strict food safety and sanitation procedures at all times Monitor food temperatures, holding times, and product quality Ensure all food is fresh, accurate, and served with consistency Carefully manage portioning and product levels to reduce unnecessary food waste Monitor waste and help identify opportunities to improve efficiency and product usage Keep kitchen stations clean, stocked, and organized throughout the shift Follow proper procedures for handling raw and cooked products Work efficiently with team members to maintain smooth kitchen operations Complete daily cleaning and closing tasks efficiently and thoroughly Support a positive and respectful team environment Qualifications Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality Ability to follow food safety guidelines and procedures consistently Awareness of waste reduction and kitchen efficiency practices Dependable, punctual, and able to work evening shifts Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is helpful, but not required Availability Needed Afternoon and evening availability Shifts beginning between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM Must be available to work until closing Closing shifts are expected to end promptly at 10:15 PM as our overnight cleaning crew arrives to break down equipment and complete deep cleaning procedures throughout the restaurant What We Offer Competitive pay Flexible scheduling Opportunities for growth and leadership development Positive team-oriented workplace Training in food safety, kitchen systems, and hospitality If you are passionate about food quality, cleanliness, teamwork, and operating an efficient kitchen with minimal waste, we would love to meet you.
