Position Summary:
The Event Security position is responsible for ensuring the safety and security for all events. Special security assignments may be available during non-event days/nights. The security team is a provider of direct service to our guests and must always exhibit a professional and courteous demeanor. This role pays an hourly rate of $45.00 Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan, 401(k) matching. This position will remain open until August 14, 2026. About the
Venue:
Located in the heart of Cumberland County, the Crown Complex is a state-of-the-art, five-venue complex comprised of a 4,500-seat arena, a 9,200-square-foot ballroom, a 10,880-seat coliseum, an exposition center with 60,000 square feet of unobstructed space, and a 2,440-seat theatre. The Crown Complex is home to the Fayetteville Marksmen hockey team (SPHL) and Fayetteville Fury indoor soccer team (NISL) and hosts a variety of other sporting events, family shows, concerts, and special productions year-round.
Responsibilities:
Respond to requests for assistance from staff and visitors for a variety of security issues (fire, medical emergencies, etc.) Performs all event and non-event security duties as assigned. Conducts building safety inspections (normally pre-event and post-event safety checks). Follow all established security procedures. Answers information requests from staff and guests during events or as needed. Protects equipment, materials, and structures throughout the work schedule. Provides regular security functions within the Complex and related areas prior to, during, and after all events. Responsible for a clean, neat appearance with a complete CC deputy uniform. Turn in all lost and found items to the Event Manager on duty, when applicable. When requested, provide escorts of persons to and from locations within the complex. Performs other related duties as assigned by the management.
Qualifications:
Must be an active-duty Cumberland County Deputy. Able to work events as assigned. High school diploma or equivalent required. Strong oral and written communication skills required. Ability to work beyond traditional business hours, including nights, weekends, and select holidays, is required. Must demonstrate strong attention to detail.
