Summary Situated in the heart of Austin's 6th street entertainment district and just a short walk from the State Capital, the Driskill has always been the premier location to gather for business and social events. The Sales, Events & Marketing Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Sales, Events, Planning and Marketing Managers. This will include but not be limited to inquiry management, proposals, generating contracts, creating banquet event orders and billing. This person may also give daily Driskill Hotel Tours to guests. The ideal candidate has a friendly demeanor, and will feelfortable interacting directly with guests over the phone or in person when conducting a site tour. The Event Coordinator may also be the day-of liaison through event set-up, ceremony and reception. The right person will have the ability to learn newputer programs, multitask andplete projects in a timely manner. This person should demonstrate exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Administrative support to the Sales, Events, Planning and Marketing Team Organizing internal bookings Answering phones while in the office and providing guidance to clients on behalf of Sales, Event and Planning Team Assisting Event Managers with iing leads Effective management of small meetings, under 10 guests Prepare group resumes and event orders Positive collaboration with hotel departments and vendors
