Job Summary Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all carpets, hard floors, and any other floor work of the casino under the EVS department. How You Will Create the Extraordinary Responsible for all areas that need to be cleaned and/or serviced. Sweeps, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors. Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies. Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim. Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas. Dusts furniture and equipment. Polishes metalwork. Washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork. Washes windows, door panels, and sills. Empties waste baskets and empties and cleans ashtrays. Transports trash and waste to disposal area. Replenishes bathroom supplies. Replaces light bulbs. Delivers messages. Transports small equipment or tools between departments. Responsible for ensuring that the appropriate cleaning product is used. Reports any problems or altercations to the Property Services Supervisor. Uses proper courtesy skills when working around guests and answering questions. Displays an energetic attitude while working with guests and employees. Other duties may be assigned. What You Will Need High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Cleaning experience preferred Minimum 1 year work experience in a restaurant or casino, either front of house or back of house Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the Casino. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, push up to 50 pounds Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned area. Must be able to stand for the majority of assigned shift. Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10 key adding machine, PC computers.
