We are located in Colorado so you must be open to relocation! Red Lotus Den, Westminster, CO 80031 Duties Lead the development and execution of authentic Chinese menus, ensuring consistency and excellence in presentation and flavor. Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, to meet high standards of quality and efficiency. Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with all health regulations and safety standards across the kitchen. Manage inventory control and food production processes to minimize waste and optimize resource utilization. Mentor, train, and supervise culinary staff, fostering a collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement. Coordinate with the catering and banquet departments to deliver exceptional Chinese cuisine for large events and special occasions. Implement menu planning strategies that incorporate dietary considerations while maintaining authenticity and customer satisfaction. Monitor shift management to ensure smooth operations during peak hours, adjusting staffing as needed for optimal service delivery. Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment adhering to all sanitation standards and food handling regulations. Collaborate with restaurant management to innovate new dishes, improve service quality, and enhance overall guest experience. Requirements Proven experience in fine dining Chinese cuisine with a strong background in banquet service and catering. Supervising experience in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting, demonstrating effective team management skills. Extensive knowledge of food production techniques, inventory management, and kitchen operations within the food industry. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop culinary teams in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with dietary department standards and food safety regulations essential for maintaining compliance. Excellent cooking skills with expertise in traditional Chinese dishes as well as modern culinary trends. Experience in menu planning, shift management, and restaurant or food service management roles. Knowledge of inventory control systems and food handling procedures necessary for efficient kitchen management.
