Job Description

  • Please note: This job is in the Lancaster, South Carolina area about one hour away from Charlotte, NC.
A senior living community is searching for an Executive Director to join its leadership team. The Executive Director position is a salaried manager and will require on-call participation with the entire management team. We'd love to have you join our team.
Note:
The Executive Director must be experienced in census development and sales efforts. Additionally, the E.D. must know be well nuanced with medicaid billing, since the community does accept it. The E.D. will be responsible for all sales efforts of the community. The Executive Director is responsible for leading and directing the overall operations of the facility in accordance with resident needs, government regulations and facility policies, with focus on maintaining excellent care for the residents while achieving the facility's business objectives. The Executive Director is responsible for overall facility management, profitability, operations, and direction in all aspects.
Executive Director assists with:
census development, state and federal survey compliance, positive employee relations, and other internal Human Resource functions. Following all facility policies and procedures, completing rounds of entire facility premises at least daily to ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and regulations, being a key and visible supervisor working directly with all residents, family and employees, the timely oversight of the accounting systems within the facility and those which interface with the home office and timely collection of accounts receivable from all payer sources, the maintenance of accurate and complete trust account records, census information, billing and resident accounts receivable statements, wages paid to employees' payroll and make deposits Executive Director's essential functions include but not limited to: Supervision Responsibilities, Accounts Receivable, Compliance, Net Operating Income, Labor and Workforce Planning. The Executive Director shall possess any one of the following qualifications: shall be at least 21 years of age and exhibit the capacity to respond to the needs of the residents and manage the complexity of the CRCFA, an associate degree or higher from an accredited college in a health care related field, A bachelor's degree in a field other than in health care from an accredited college and one year experience working in a health care related field A bachelor's degree in a field other than in health care from an accredited college and have successfully completed an assisted living administrator's training course approved by the department or the department's designee. At least 5 years experience working in a health care related field. A valid South Carolina CRCFA license issued by the department of licensing and regulations.
