Job Description

Eventide is looking for a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator to join the Eventide team! The Administrator is responsible for the overall operations of Eventide Prairie Commons in Grand Island, NE. Must have a current NHA license in the state of Nebraska, experience in management and or long-term care and a passion for working with seniors! Essential Functions Coordinates and oversees campus operations to ensure quality resident/tenant care and optimum operational efficiency. Assists in the budgeting process for the Campus, including analysis of activities, staffing levels, costs, operations and forecasting data to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives. Prepares reports and records on campus activities as needed. Provides information to home office as needed and requested. Ensures quality metrics are established, documented, and monitored regularly. Will make appropriate adjustments to ensure metrics are achieved. Directs and oversees care programs for residents/tenants of Eventide and analyzes reports, records, and directives. Assists with planning, organizing, developing and implementation of projects and programs. Confers with directors of the functional areas to obtain data required for planning campus activities such as campus commitments, status of residents' progress, and problems encountered. Ensures that appropriate discharge and transfer planning is conducted for residents. Makes the final decision as needed on resident admissions and resident moves in conjunction with the Social Services, the Directors of Nursing, and Director of Senior Living. Assists Directors in monitoring Medicare information on residents and assists in determining Medicare eligibility of residents as needed. Assumes on call responsibility for campus. Compliance Ensures all state and federal regulations are followed and maintained. Provides documentation and information to state and federal surveyors as needed during inspections. Coordinates, submits, and ensures the completion of the plan of correction for deficiencies noted during survey inspections. Attends and participates in workshops, seminars, etc. to keep abreast of current changes in the long-term care field. Provides input in creating and administering Eventide's policies and procedures and participates in the development of strategic goals and objectives for the organization. Responsible for job performance appraisals of designated staff. Reviews achievements and discusses required changes in goals and objectives. Assists Human Resources department with counseling, disciplining and terminating of employees and ensures that appropriate and thorough documentation is complete. Identifies and implements programs to enhance staff development through in-service education sessions. Attends meetings and chairs designated committees and provides resident and facility information that might be needed by the committees. Works closely with all assigned Directors to ensure adequate staff is provided to cover all necessary assignments and ensure the smooth flow of operations and the residents'/tenants' care needs. Community and Resident/Tenant/Family Relations Remains visible within the community and represents Eventide at various community functions. Maintains a good working relationship with the medical profession and other health-related organizations through formal working and transfer agreements. Serves as Eventide's liaison with families, residents, and tenants. Assists with problem resolution when necessary.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree required. (Healthcare Administration or Long-Term Care Administration preferred). Nursing Home Administrator's License - State of Nebraska, required. Assisted Living Administrator's License - State of Nebraska, preferred, or must be willing to obtain within 6 months. Experience as long-term care administrator preferred. Management/supervisory experience or training is preferred.
