Experience Transportation Dispatcher

A high-volume transportation organization seeking a sharp, seasoned Dispatcher who thrives under pressure and takes pride in keeping operations running like clockwork. Job Summary Monitor and interpret real-time traffic patterns across the Tri-State area to optimize routing and on-time performance Coordinate and communicate with a fleet of professional drivers, ensuring clear, efficient, and respectful communication at all times Manage high call volume in a fast-paced call center environment with composure and accuracy Operate dispatch and fleet management platforms including Samsara , LimoAnywhere , and other driver-facing applications to support daily operations Anticipate operational needs and resolve issues proactively before they escalate Maintain real-time updates across all active reservations; reach out to drivers or clients advising of changes. Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery throughout peak periods Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching using transportation management systems such as Samsara + LimoAnywhere and other company tools. Track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and enhance on time arrivals. Communicate effectively with drivers, ensuring clear instructions and updates. Maintain accurate data entry for reservation management along with answering client emails. Provide exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills when handling inquiries from internal teams and external partners. Requirements Proven experience in dispatching within logistics or transportation management environments. Strong knowledge of GIS, GPS, transportation planning Familiarity with transportation commercial restrictions : roadway access, commercial truck routes, Tri State Airports etc Excellent analysis skills to interpret fleet management, and bus schedules. Proficiency in data entry, typing accuracy, and managing multi-line phone systems efficiently.
