Experienced Automotive Technician/MD State Inspector a plus!!

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Automotive Technician , where your skills and experience play a vital role in keeping vehicles safe, reliable, and performing at their best. This position combines hands-on automotive repair, including engine and transmission work in a fast-paced, team-oriented shop environment. You will perform comprehensive diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance on a wide variety of vehicles, including diesel engines. This role is essential to the daily flow of our shop and requires strong mechanical ability, attention to detail, and a willingness to contribute to both vehicle service and overall shop upkeep. Duties Perform diagnostic assessments using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues with engines, transmissions, powertrains, electrical systems, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and other critical components Perform engine and transmission diagnostics, repairs, replacements, and overhauls as needed Complete routine maintenance services, including oil changes, fluid services, and preventative maintenance Repair and maintain vehicles by replacing worn or damaged parts, performing alignments, suspension work, diesel engine repairs, and general mechanical repairs using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues efficiently Perform wheel alignments and suspension repairs to ensure proper handling and vehicle safety Complete detailed service reports, inspection logs, and estimates accurately while clearly communicating repair needs to customers Maintain cleanliness, organization, and general upkeep of the shop, restroom facilities, storage areas, and parking/storage lot , including light repairs and maintenance as needed Stay current with industry advancements, including ADAS updates and evolving repair techniques, to deliver high-quality service Qualifications Proven experience in a dealership or independent service shop with a strong background in automotive repair and diagnostics Extensive knowledge of engines, transmissions, diesel engines, electrical systems, powertrain components, and vehicle maintenance procedures Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical manuals Skilled in the use of diagnostic scanners, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other shop equipment Experience working on all makes and models of vehicles; familiarity with auto estimating software is advantageous Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adhere to safety protocols Additional Information This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
