Experienced Baker Starting Rate:
$19/hour and up, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
Artisan Bread & Pastry Production:
Prepare and bake traditional French pastries, tarts, and other items with a focus on quality, flavor, and authenticity.
Recipe Precision:
Follow established recipes and techniques while maintaining consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
Quality Control:
Regularly check products for flavor, appearance, and freshness to meet the highest bakery standards.
Food Safety:
Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including proper storage, handling, and cleanliness practices.
Efficient Workflow:
Manage production timelines to ensure breads and pastries are ready for early-morning service and special orders.
Organization:
Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and orderly workstation, ensuring tools and ingredients are ready for use.
Team Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with fellow bakers and kitchen staff to coordinate daily production needs.
Inventory Monitoring:
Track ingredient usage and notify management of shortages to avoid interruptions in production.
Adaptability:
Adjust quickly to seasonal menus, custom orders, and production demands while maintaining precision and consistency.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience in professional baking, preferably specializing in French-style breads and pastries. Strong knowledge of fermentation, dough handling, and lamination techniques. Proven ability to maintain high standards of flavor, texture, and presentation in high-volume production. Excellent attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship. Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
