OTB Bicycle Café is a fast-paced, community-focused and family friendly restaurant. We pride ourselves on quality ingredients, efficient service, and a team-oriented environment. We're looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager who can lead our kitchen team, maintain high food standards, and keep operations running smoothly.Position Overview:
The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, managing kitchen staff, ensuring food quality and consistency, maintaining inventory, and upholding health and safety standards. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and the ability to thrive in a busy restaurant environment.Responsibilities:
Manage and lead kitchen staff including line cooks, prep cooks, expeditors, and dish staff Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure efficient food production Maintain consistent food quality and presentation standards Manage food ordering, inventory, and vendor relationships Control food costs and minimize waste Ensure compliance with health department and food safety regulations Train and mentor kitchen staff Coordinate with front-of-house management to ensure smooth service Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areasQualifications:
3+ years of kitchen management or supervisory experience Strong leadership and team management skills Ability to work in a high-volume restaurant environment Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards Experience with ordering and inventory control Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededPreferred Qualifications:
ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain) Experience in scratch kitchens or high-quality casual diningWhat We Offer:
