Okoboji Classic Cars, located in the heart of the Iowa Great Lakes in Milford, Iowa, offers a one-stop restoration experience that combines the expertise of a team of specialists who manage a restoration project from start to finish.

CLASSIC CAR GENERAL AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC

We are seeking a full-time skilled and experienced Classic Car General Automotive Mechanic to join our team of automotive experts. You will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and restoring classic cars to their original beauty and functionality. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to join an industry leading team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems in classic cars and perform necessary repairs and maintenance
• Conduct routine inspections and tune-ups to ensure that classic cars are running smoothly and efficiently
• Repair or replace parts such as brakes, engines, transmissions, and steering systems
• Restore classic cars to their original condition
• Install and upgrade modern safety features and technology in classic cars
• Communicate effectively
• Keep up to date with the latest trends and techniques in classic car repair and maintenance

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent At least 5 years of experience working with classic cars preferred Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment In-depth knowledge of classic car mechanics, including engines, transmissions, braking systems, fuel systems, suspension/frame swaps, electrical systems, HVAC systems General knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting, replacement, repair/restoration and modification of new OEM and used components Comfort with custom modifications, brake system upgrades, complete rewiring, engine/transmission rebuild, engine performance upgrade, EFI swaps, AC add-ons, and more General automotive knowledge on vehicles ranging from early 1900's thru 1990's Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently and accurately Ability to communicate effectively with team members Passion for classic cars and their restoration with a commitment to preserving automotive history
