Experienced Mechanical Estimator

James CRAFT & Son, Inc. is seeking a full time Sales/Estimator to join our Estimating/Preconstruction department. Three to Five Years of previous estimating experience is preferred. Candidates should poses working knowledge of Quick Pen or similar estimating program. This position serves the commercial and industrial Mechanical HVAC/Plumbing industry.

A strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and installation is preferred. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Analyze blueprints, construction drawings and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials and labor estimates.
• Thoroughly review specifications and other documentations for scope or pricing impact items.
• Obtain and evaluate material, equipment and subcontractor quotes.
• Prepare conceptual estimates for budgeting projects.
• Able to communicate, schedule, analyze information and take responsibility for estimating duties.
• Communicate with the client, gather all necessary data, and analyze all information in order to assemble complete project cost.
• Confer with general contractors/construction managers, engineers, and designers on changes or adjustments for estimates.
• Strong teamwork oriented traits.
• Learn all software programs utilized in the day-to-day business operations of the company.
• Other duties as assigned. The physical demands essential to successfully perform this job are, but are not limited to:

• Good vision and depth perception
• Good balance and hearing.
• Also, the use of hand tools,controls, the ability to sit, stand, climb, kneel, and awareness of environment.

The job requires travel to job sites and some field work, so reliable transportation and a flexible schedule are a must.

$60,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
