Experienced RSO (Radiation Safety Officer) 24 Constitution Drive, Hudson, NH 03051 Full-time Full-time A prominent company developing a cutting-edge cancer treatment is seeking an experienced Radiation Safety Officer to join us in our efforts in saving cancer patients' lives. This is an important position in our company overseeing the Radiation Safety Program for our US sites.
Job Description:
The RSO works with company management and the Radiation Safety Team to manage radiation safety related to the possession and use of radioactive materials and the manufacture and distribution of radiation producing medical devices.
Job Requirements:
BS or MS in Health Physics, Radiological Health, Physics, or other relevant field. Substantial experience working in Radiation Safety as an RSO is preferred.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Implementation, coordination, and day-to-day oversight of the Radiation Protection Program. Ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations and license requirements and administer all related records and data collection. Conduct safety audits, contamination surveys, receipt of radioactive material, and oversight of shipments of radioactive material. Manage the Radiation Safety Team. Provide regular Radiation Safety Training. Oversee the maintenance and calibration of radiation detection equipment. Coordinate radioactive waste shipments. Manage the personnel dosimetry and bioassay program for the site. Establish and advise on radiation safety and operational policies and procedures.
