Exterior House Painter

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter to join our team. As a Painter, you will be responsible for applying paint, varnish, and other finishes to various surfaces. Your attention to detail and ability to work with precision will be crucial in ensuring high-quality results.

Duties:

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks
• Mix paints and match colors to specifications
• Apply paint or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers
• Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape to protect surrounding areas
• Remove fixtures and furniture as needed before painting
• Repair damaged surfaces and ensure proper adhesion of paint
• Follow safety guidelines and use appropriate protective equipment
• Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of different painting techniques and materials
• Proficient in carpentry and trim carpentry work
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Understanding of color theory and ability to mix paints to achieve desired shades
• Experience in masonry work for surface preparation or restoration projects
• Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques for painting concrete surfaces
