Extrusion Quality Control Specialist

Step into a day on our QA team As an Extrusion Quality Control Specialist, you'll be the steady hand ensuring every run meets spec. You'll start your shift by reviewing production priorities, then move line-to-line performing in-process checks, sampling, and precise measurements with lab instruments. When an extrusion parameter drifts, you'll partner with operators to diagnose the issue, implement corrective actions, and document root cause using structured methods like 8D. You'll close the loop by logging results, updating records, and sharing learnings so the next run is even better. Role details

Full-time Schedule:

12-hour shifts on a 2-3-2 rotation (12 AM-12 PM) Pay based on experience: $16-19/hr How you'll make an impact Execute rigorous in-process and final inspections to verify conformity Operate and maintain lab and precision testing equipment for materials and product validation Collaborate with production to troubleshoot extrusion line issues and stabilize processes Record findings, nonconformances, and corrective actions with complete, clear documentation Assist with customer quality concerns, returns, and resolutions Coach team members on standards, SOPs, and best practices Drive continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives Work safely and uphold all quality system procedures What you bring 2+ years in manufacturing QA (extrusion experience strongly preferred) Hands-on knowledge of extrusion processes and common test methods/equipment Experience with quality systems and ISO frameworks Analytical problem-solving; 8D experience is a plus Strong attention to detail and clear communication Comfort with digital documentation (Excel, Word, PDF) Physical and workplace requirements Able to lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable standing and moving for extended periods Work effectively in a production setting with heat and noise High school diploma required Background check and drug testing required.
