Position Overview The Tenter Operator position is a non-exempt, hourly position responsible for operating the Monforts Tenter Frame to heat-set fabric, assist with sewing, crane operation, and slitters. You will play a critical role in ensuring product quality and safety while maintaining a clean and organized work area. What you'll do Operate the tenter frame and associated machinery safely and efficiently. Load fabric using a crane and monitor machine settings for optimal results. Remove completed rolls, maintain logs, and report issues from previous shifts. Perform weekly machine disassembly and cleaning, and maintain housekeeping throughout the shift. Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE. Assist the Production Team Manager with additional tasks as needed. All other duties as assigned Who you are High School Diploma or GED required. Company-issued forklift license required. Experience operating heavy machinery or fabric-processing equipment preferred. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and move up to 1,000 lbs with a pallet jack. Comfortable standing, walking, bending, squatting, and reaching frequently. Able to follow safety rules and wear required PPE. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Basic computer skills for machine monitoring and logging. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Reliable and punctual, with flexibility for rotating shifts and overtime.
