Anchored Welding & Fabrication About the Role Anchored Welding & Fabrication is seeking an experienced Fabrication Shop Manager to oversee day-to-day shop operations, production scheduling, fabrication quality, and workforce management. We are looking for a hands-on leader who understands welding, structural fabrication, field coordination, and how to keep projects moving efficiently and profitably. This is not a desk-only role — we need someone who can lead crews, solve problems, manage workflow, and maintain high standards of craftsmanship and accountability. Responsibilities Manage daily fabrication shop operations and workflow Schedule jobs, labor, materials, and equipment for maximum efficiency Supervise welders, fabricators, and shop personnel Ensure fabrication quality, accuracy, and on-time delivery Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication specs Coordinate with customers, project managers, and field crews Oversee material receiving, inventory, and shop organization Enforce safety standards and maintain a clean, productive shop Troubleshoot production bottlenecks and improve processes Assist with estimating, planning, and project execution as needed Qualifications 5+ years fabrication/welding experience preferred Previous leadership or shop management experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of MIG, TIG, Stick, structural steel, custom fabrication, and equipment operation Ability to read blueprints and manage fabrication from concept to completion Experience managing crews, deadlines, and multiple projects Strong communication and problem-solving skills Self-motivated, organized, and accountable Preferred Experience Structural steel fabrication Industrial maintenance or millwright experience CNC plasma, layout, or custom fabrication Agricultural, livestock, or heavy equipment fabrication Estimating or project management experience
